Food Plaza Team Lead
As the Food Plaza Team Lead, you’ll help create one of the most popular areas of CultureFest where everyone is looking to immerse themselves in different cultures, one mouthful at a time. This area will invite our community to taste and explore flavours from around the world, all without the airfare.
In this role, you’ll lead outreach and networking efforts to connect with food vendors offering unique and diverse global cuisines. You’ll thoughtfully curate a Food Plaza and dining space filled with international aromas, lively conversations, and dishes that tell a story. Your vision will help ensure there’s variety, authenticity, and something exciting to discover around every corner.
You’ll also build and lead your own team, bringing together volunteers who can help plan the layout, coordinate vendors, and bring your vision to life on festival day. From the first invitation to the final plate served, you’ll play a key role in shaping an experience that feels reminiscent of some of the best food markets from across the globe.
If you love connecting with people and are a bit of a foodie, this role offers a meaningful way to make an impact. The Food Plaza won’t just be a place to grab a bite; it will be a gathering space where stories are shared, connections are formed and everyone leaves with a full heart and tummy.
Performance Team Lead
As the Performance Team Lead, you’ll help bring the rhythm and energy of CultureFest to life. From music and dance to cultural showcases and special performances, you’ll be the connector who ensures every act has its moment to shine — and that together, they tell a beautiful story of our community.
In this role, you’ll confirm and organize performers with intention, curating a lineup that reflects strong cultural diversity and a variety of performance styles. You’ll thoughtfully build a schedule that creates a natural flow throughout the day, incorporating well-placed breaks to keep the energy steady and the experience smooth for both performers and guests. You’ll also ensure timing aligns with each performer’s availability, helping everyone feel respected and supported.
Behind the scenes, you’ll collect music in advance and have everything prepared and ready for the DJ, maintaining clear and ongoing communication between the DJ, MC, and performers on the day of the event. You’ll be the steady thread connecting all moving parts — answering questions, adjusting when needed, and keeping the board and management team informed along the way.
You’ll build a small, reliable team to help manage communications, assist performers as they arrive, and ensure everything runs seamlessly backstage and on stage. Your organization and calm coordination will allow performers to focus on what they do best — sharing their talents and culture with the community.
If you love live events and appreciate the beauty of cultural expression, this role is a meaningful way to help shape one of the most memorable
Health and Safety Team Lead
As the Health & Safety Team Lead, you’ll be the steady presence working behind the scenes to ensure Airdrie CultureFest 2026 is not only joyful — but safe, thoughtful, and well cared for.
This role is all about thinking ahead. You’ll plan safety measures, coordinate health logistics, and put systems in place so that vendors, performers, volunteers, and guests can focus on enjoying the day. From emergency planning to on-the-ground response coordination, you’ll help create a calm, organized environment where everyone feels supported.
You’ll build a dedicated team around you — people you can lean on throughout the day — along with working alongside the broader volunteer teams we provide. Together, you’ll coordinate responses, communicate clearly, and ensure supports are in place for the entire festival community.
If you’re someone who finds confidence in preparation, thrives in organized environments, and takes pride in caring for others, this role offers a meaningful way to serve. Your leadership will help create the foundation that allows everything else to shine.
Volunteer Team Lead
As the Volunteer Team Lead, you’ll help power the entire festival experience. Volunteers are the heartbeat of Airdrie CultureFest, and this role ensures they feel welcomed, supported, and valued every step of the way.
You’ll lead the invitation and outreach process, track sign-ups, and build a thoughtful volunteer schedule that ensures every area of the festival is well supported. Beyond logistics, you’ll also create a sense of belonging — helping volunteers feel connected to the bigger picture of what we’re building together.
You’ll form your own leadership team to assist with training volunteers on the day, providing guidance, answering questions, and ensuring everyone is taken care of — including making sure breaks are honoured and support is available when needed.
If you believe that community is built by people showing up for one another, and you love encouraging others to step into meaningful roles, this is a beautiful opportunity to lead from a place of care and connection.
Kids Zone Team Lead
As the Kids Zone Team Lead, you’ll be at the heart of creating joy and connection for families at Airdrie CultureFest. This role is all about building an engaging, fun-filled space where children of all ages can play, explore, and discover in a place that feels safe and welcoming.
You’ll have the chance to bring together a team of enthusiastic volunteers, tapping into everyone’s creativity and energy to shape something truly special. With your leadership, the Kids Zone will become a highlight of the festival that's full of learning and laughter.
A big part of the role is connecting with community groups and vendors whose missions align with the spirit of Airdrie CultureFest and support the growth and development of Airdrie's youth. Whether it’s hands-on activities, games or interactive experiences, you’ll help curate offerings that inspire curiousity and spark joy.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves working with young people, believes in nurturing their talents, and wants to make Canada Day meaningful for families across our diverse community. If you’re passionate about creating experiences that encourage kids to grow, explore, and shine — we can’t wait for you to lead the charge!
